Xovian Aerospace Raises $2 Mn to Advance AI-Native RF Satellite Intelligence

India’s spacetech ecosystem continues to gain momentum as Xovian Aerospace secures $2 million (₹18.7 crore) in a fresh funding round led by ace investor Ashish Kacholia, with participation from existing backer Inflection Point Ventures. The investment marks a significant step forward in Xovian’s mission to build next-generation RF intelligence infrastructure powered by artificial intelligence.

Founded in 2019 by Ankit Bhateja and Raghav Sharma, Xovian Aerospace is focused on solving one of the most critical challenges in satellite-based surveillance, tracking objects that intentionally go “dark.” Traditional satellite imaging systems often fail to detect ships and aircraft when they switch off transponders or operate beyond visible tracking systems. Xovian aims to bridge this gap using radio frequency (RF) signals.

At the core of its innovation is the development of AI-native RF satellites capable of capturing and analyzing RF emissions from various sources. By converting this raw RF data into real-time, actionable intelligence, Xovian is building a powerful layer of situational awareness for applications across defense, maritime security, aviation monitoring, and beyond.

The newly raised capital will be deployed to accelerate the development and launch of Xovian’s first RF satellite. In addition, the company plans to strengthen its core engineering and AI teams while actively forging strategic commercial partnerships. This will enable faster go-to-market execution and broader adoption of its technology across global markets.

What sets Xovian apart is its ability to combine advanced satellite hardware with AI-driven analytics. Instead of relying solely on visual data, its platform taps into invisible RF signals, unlocking insights that are otherwise missed by traditional systems. This approach significantly enhances the reliability and depth of tracking capabilities, especially in complex or covert scenarios.

The demand for RF intelligence is rapidly growing worldwide, driven by increasing geopolitical complexities and the need for real-time monitoring solutions. Xovian’s technology positions it at the forefront of this emerging segment, offering a scalable and data-rich alternative to conventional satellite imaging.

With strong investor backing and a clear technological vision, Xovian Aerospace is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of space-based intelligence. As it moves closer to launching its first satellite, the startup is not just building infrastructure, it is redefining how the world observes and understands activity across land, sea, and air.
