Runable Raises $21 Mn in Series A to Build AI-Powered Operating System for Small Businesses
Runable, an AI-powered startup focused on helping small businesses build, manage, and grow their operations, has raised $21 million (approximately ₹200 crore) in a Series A funding round. The round was co-led by Susquehanna Venture Capital and Nexus Venture Partners, with existing investors Together Fund and Array VC also participating.
Founded in 2025 by Umesh Kumar and Saksham Sarda, Runable is building an AI-agent-driven platform designed to simplify the complex technology and operational requirements faced by small businesses. From creating websites and mobile applications to customer acquisition, marketing and customer support, the platform aims to provide businesses with AI-powered tools that can handle multiple aspects of their operations.

The funding comes at a time when AI agents are increasingly moving beyond simple conversational assistants to perform practical, multi-step business tasks. Runable’s approach focuses on automating not only software creation but also the activities required to turn that software into a functioning and growing business.
According to the company, Runable achieved $2 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) within just three weeks of its launch and has already reached 1.5 million users. The rapid adoption highlights the growing demand among entrepreneurs and small businesses for technology that can reduce the cost and complexity of starting and operating a digital business.

Speaking about the company’s vision, Umesh Kumar, Co-founder and CEO of Runable, said that software creation is no longer the biggest challenge for entrepreneurs. Businesses are ultimately created to acquire customers and generate revenue, while many of the activities that follow software development still require significant effort. Runable aims to address this gap by using AI agents to automate those activities.
The fresh capital will support Runable’s efforts to develop its AI-agent platform further, expand its product capabilities, and accelerate user growth. The company is also expected to strengthen its technology infrastructure as it scales its platform to serve a rapidly growing base of entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Runable’s emergence reflects a broader shift in the technology landscape, from traditional software tools that require users to perform individual tasks toward AI-native platforms capable of completing entire workflows.
For small businesses, this could significantly lower the barriers to launching and scaling digital operations. Instead of relying on separate tools for websites, marketing, customer support and acquisition, entrepreneurs could increasingly rely on AI agents that work together across these functions.
With $21 million in Series A funding, 1.5 million users and reported $2 million ARR, Runable is positioning itself as an ambitious player in the emerging AI-agent economy, with a vision to automate the work that comes after software is built.
