Inamo Raises $8 Mn Led by Prime Venture Partners to Scale Dark Store Infrastructure Across India

Mumbai-based quick commerce infrastructure startup Inamo has raised $8 million in a funding round led by Prime Venture Partners, with participation from Shastra VC, Antler India, and Gemba Capital. The round comprises $6 million in equity and $2 million in venture debt, taking the company’s total funding raised to $11 million.

Founded in 2024 by Sumit Anand and Rupesh Thakare, Inamo is building an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform for the fast-growing dark store and 10-minute delivery ecosystem. The startup enables consumer brands and retailers to scale ultra-fast commerce by providing end-to-end infrastructure for dark store management, inventory orchestration, and last-mile delivery operations, without brands needing to build these capabilities in-house.

The fresh capital will be deployed primarily toward expanding Inamo’s dark store network, onboarding additional consumer brands, and introducing new product categories across its platform. As India’s quick commerce market continues to mature, Inamo is positioning itself as the backbone that allows brands to plug into instant delivery economics without operational complexity.

Inamo’s scale metrics already point to strong execution. The platform currently processes 1.8 million orders per month and operates 80+ dark stores across six metro cities. Looking ahead, the company plans to scale aggressively, targeting 200 outlets across 10 cities by the end of 2026. This expansion is expected to deepen density in existing metros while extending coverage into new high-potential urban markets.

Unlike consumer-facing quick commerce apps, Inamo operates behind the scenes, helping brands achieve rapid delivery promises while maintaining control over inventory, pricing, and customer experience. Its infrastructure-first approach addresses key pain points in dark store operations, including inventory accuracy, demand forecasting, fulfilment speed, and delivery efficiency.

Investors backing the round see Inamo as a critical enabler in the evolving quick commerce stack. As 10-minute delivery shifts from being a differentiator to a baseline expectation in urban India, scalable and capital-efficient infrastructure becomes essential for sustainable growth. Inamo’s model allows brands to grow without high fixed costs, while benefiting from shared infrastructure and operational expertise.

With strong order volumes, an expanding physical footprint, and a clear infrastructure-led value proposition, Inamo is emerging as a foundational player in India’s next phase of quick commerce, powering speed, scale, and reliability for brands aiming to win the instant-delivery race.
