LEAP India Raises ₹744 Crore from Anchor Investors Ahead of IPO
Supply chain and logistics technology company LEAP India has raised ₹744 crore from anchor investors ahead of the opening of its initial public offering (IPO), strengthening investor confidence in India’s evolving logistics and supply chain ecosystem.
The company allotted 4.67 crore equity shares at ₹159 per share, which is the upper end of its IPO price band. The anchor round saw participation from a mix of domestic and global institutional investors, highlighting strong interest in LEAP India’s business model and growth prospects.

Domestic institutional investors played a significant role in the anchor allocation. One life insurance company and six domestic mutual funds together picked up 1.9 crore shares, accounting for approximately 40.1% of the total anchor portion. Global financial institutions including Morgan Stanley, JM Financial, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, and BNP Paribas also participated in the round.
The company’s IPO is scheduled to open on August 7 and close on August 11. The public issue comprises a fresh issue of up to ₹480 crore along with an Offer for Sale (OFS) component of up to ₹2,000 crore. At the upper end of the price band, LEAP India is expected to command a valuation of approximately ₹7,005 crore.
Founded by Sunu Mathew in 2013, LEAP India has built its business around providing technology-enabled supply chain solutions to enterprises. Its offerings span multiple areas of supply chain management, including equipment pooling, returnable packaging, inventory management, transportation, and maintenance.

The company’s focus on returnable and reusable supply chain assets is particularly relevant as businesses increasingly seek to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize logistics costs. By providing integrated solutions across different stages of the supply chain, LEAP India aims to help businesses manage critical assets and streamline their movement.
The strong anchor participation comes at a time when India’s logistics sector is undergoing rapid transformation. Growing e-commerce adoption, organized retail, manufacturing expansion, and increasing digitization are creating demand for more efficient supply chain infrastructure. Technology-driven logistics companies are increasingly becoming important partners for businesses looking to improve visibility, asset utilization, and operational performance.

The participation of leading domestic mutual funds, insurers, and international financial institutions in LEAP India’s anchor round adds further significance to the IPO. Anchor investments often provide an early indication of institutional interest ahead of a public issue and can help establish confidence among other market participants.
With its IPO now set to open, LEAP India is entering an important phase of its growth journey. The company’s established presence in supply chain services, combined with the increasing demand for technology-enabled logistics solutions, positions it to benefit from India’s expanding logistics and manufacturing ecosystem.
As the IPO opens on August 7, investors will closely watch LEAP India’s public-market debut and its ability to leverage India’s rapidly evolving supply chain landscape for its next phase of growth.
