Skye Air Mobility Raises $9 Million to Expand Drone Delivery Network Across Major Indian Cities

Drone logistics startup Skye Air Mobility has raised $9 million in a Series B funding round led by IAN Alpha Fund, with participation from AVNM Ventures, Faad Capital, and Bajaj Capital. The fresh capital will help the company expand its operations and strengthen its technology infrastructure as it scales its drone-based delivery network across India.

Founded in 2019 by Ankit Kumar, Skye Air Mobility is building a hyperlocal drone logistics platform designed to transform last-mile delivery across industries such as e-commerce, healthcare, and industrial supply chains. The company aims to make logistics faster, more efficient, and cost-effective by leveraging autonomous drone technology.

Over the past few years, Skye Air has made significant progress in deploying its drone logistics solutions. Its drones are capable of carrying payloads of up to 10 kilograms, making them suitable for transporting a wide range of goods, including medical supplies, consumer products, and industrial components.

The startup’s technology platform integrates AI-powered route optimization, real-time monitoring, and autonomous navigation systems, enabling drones to deliver packages quickly and safely in dense urban environments. By reducing dependency on traditional road transport, drone logistics can significantly cut delivery times and improve operational efficiency.

Currently, Skye Air Mobility operates primarily in the Delhi-NCR region, where it has been conducting large-scale drone deliveries for multiple industry partners. This expansion will allow the company to build a pan-India drone delivery network, addressing the increasing demand for faster and more reliable last-mile logistics solutions. The funding will also be used to further develop Skye Air’s AI-powered drone logistics infrastructure, improving flight automation, operational scalability, and data analytics capabilities.
