Student mobility startup ZeroMobit has raised a pre-seed funding round co-led by Sandeep Varaganti, CEO of JioMart, along with Ashok Agrawal and a group of high-net-worth individuals (HNIs). The funding marks an early but significant milestone as ZeroMobit looks to build a dedicated, campus-first transportation stack for students across India.

Founded to simplify daily student commute, ZeroMobit is addressing a highly fragmented and underserved segment of urban mobility. Student transportation today is often plagued by inconsistent routes, safety concerns, poor visibility, and unreliable service, issues that traditional ride-hailing or public transport systems are not designed to solve at a cohort-specific level.

ZeroMobit’s platform is built specifically around student use cases, focusing on safety-first operations, predictable routing, and reliability. By designing mobility solutions tailored to campuses and educational clusters, the startup aims to create a trusted transportation layer for students, parents, and institutions alike.

The fresh capital will be used to strengthen product development, enhance technology capabilities such as route optimisation, real-time tracking, and safety features, and expand operations across key educational hubs.
