Dextr AI Raises $6.7 Million in Seed Funding to Build the AI Workforce for Hospitality

Hospitality-focused artificial intelligence startup Dextr AI has raised $6.7 million in a Seed funding round led by Elevation Capital, with participation from Foundation Capital. The new funding will support the company’s continued development of specialised AI agents designed to automate and improve critical hospitality operations.

Founded in 2025 by Sajid Shariff and Scott Arnold, Dextr AI is building an AI-powered platform specifically for the hospitality industry. Rather than offering a general-purpose AI assistant, the company develops specialised agents that can handle different operational functions across hotels and hospitality businesses, including reservations, guest management, staffing, sales and marketing.

Dextr’s AI agent ecosystem includes Daisy, an AI voice agent designed to handle reservations in more than 90 languages. The company also offers Alfred, which focuses on guest requests and interactions; Manny, designed to support staff operations; and Cosmo, which focuses on direct bookings and marketing.

The company says its platform is already being used by hundreds of properties across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe, processing more than 1 million interactions every month.

The latest funding comes as hospitality businesses increasingly explore artificial intelligence to improve customer experiences while managing operational costs and workforce requirements. Hotels and other hospitality properties handle thousands of interactions across reservations, guest services, staff coordination, and marketing, creating opportunities for specialised AI systems to automate repetitive workflows and support employees.

Dextr AI’s approach is focused on deploying purpose-built agents across these different functions, allowing hospitality businesses to use AI for specific operational needs rather than relying on a single generic system.

Voice-based AI is particularly relevant to reservations, where guests may prefer speaking directly with a booking assistant. Supporting more than 90 languages could also help properties manage interactions with an increasingly international customer base.

With the fresh capital from Elevation Capital and Foundation Capital, Dextr AI plans to further develop its technology and expand the adoption of its AI agents across the hospitality sector.

The startup’s growth also reflects a broader shift toward agentic AI, where AI systems are designed not only to answer questions but also to perform specific tasks and manage multi-step workflows.

As hospitality companies continue looking for technology that can improve efficiency without compromising guest experience, Dextr AI is positioning its specialised AI agents as a new layer of digital infrastructure for the industry.

With hundreds of properties already using its platform and more than one million monthly interactions, Dextr AI is entering its next phase of growth with a focus on scaling AI-powered hospitality operations globally.
